California Oncology is pleased to collaborate with the area’s premier radiation oncology facility, the Fresno Cancer Center. The Fresno Cancer Center is a state of the art facility. Our goal has been to combine our knowledge and resources to offer the Fresno community leading edge radiation oncology services.

This facility houses the latest developments in radiation treatment and diagnostic imaging. In particular the Fresno Cancer Center features the most advanced method of treating tumors with radiation, called Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy or IMRT for short. IMRT allows a team of physicians, medical physicists and medical dosimetrists to use powerful computers to guide the shape and strength of the radiation beam. This new technique improves the effectiveness of therapy and is often the best method to protect healthy tissue. The treatment is focused precisely on the tumor itself, while other systems can damage surrounding healthy areas.

California Oncology is pleased to offer this latest treatment advance, and works closely with staff and physicians at the Fresno Cancer Center to ensure coordinated care for our patients. Of course, we will refer you to the radiation treatment location of choice if requested.
