Lany Sivongsay, Nurse Practitioner

Lany Sivongsay, NP, joined our office as a nurse practitioner in 2007 after receiving her master’s degree from the University of California, San Francisco, graduating magna cum laude.  She received her hematology-oncology training at Stanford Medical Center, with further training at Kaiser Permanente and University of California at San Francisco.  Additionally, Lany has been trained in integrative complementary healing, guided imagery, therapeutic touch and mind-based stress reduction in her nurse practitioner program.  She has an interest in psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) and has researched music therapy for the treatment of chronic pain.  Lany is an innovative professional who is excited about patient education, healing arts, integrative medicine and a focus on female cancer patients.  She volunteers annually with Latin America Community Assistance and has traveled to El Salvador to provide medical assistance to underprivileged communities.
